Kids Class

Our kids program is designed to help kids build a strong foundation for basic JIU JITSU working extensively on overviewing the positions and situations in JIU JITSU.

We also focus on bully-proofing children. Kids will be taught how to defend themselves using both verbal and real life jiu jitsu techniques. Jiu Jitsu is an effective tool to help kids overcome bullies using leverage and control, instead of kicking or punching.

This program will help kids build confidence, learn self-discipline, develop respect for the instructors and peers and improve coordination, agility, and focus.

About Us

Jane Doe

Professor Leandro Massaro

My name is Leandro Massaro, 46 years old, fitness coach, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black-belt under legendary Wellington “Megaton” Dias. I have been married since 2008, and I’m the proud dad of an amazing 11 year old little girl.

I have been a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu student, practitioner, and athlete since 2000; earning medals in some of Jiu-Jitsu’s most prominent tournaments, including: Masters World Championship, American Nationals, Pan-American Championship, Arizona State, and Asian Open Championship.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has always played a crucial role in my life; it has literally helped me become what I am today; it to pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and shaped me into a better version of myself; someone healthier, happier, and more confident.

I’m a firm believer that hard work, dedication, honesty, and integrity are the pillars for success. Over the past 21 years, Jiu-Jitsu has helped me forge friendships that will last a lifetime. I have had the privilege of working, training, and competing with some of the best in the sport.

IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) Certified Black Belt

We are a proud member of team Megaton Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Megaton has over 30 years of experience training and competing in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; he is one of the most renowned, respected, and sought-after BJJ instructors in the world.

Why BJJ

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint-locks and choke holds to defeat the opponent.

In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu you will learn the skills of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one’s opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.

No matter what your belt or level of ability, there is always room for growth in jiujitsu. There are so many new and interesting techniques, training methods and perspectives that boredom should never be an issue for long – We’ll help you keep searching and growing.

The Physical and Mental Benefits of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is more than just a sport. It’s more than a martial art. It’s a way to change your life.

The fact that Brazilian jiu-jitsu will change your body cannot be denied. You can physically see your body changing with every day or week. What you can’t see is the improvements in your overall health as a result of training.

Beyond any physical improvements that come as a result of Brazilian jiu-jitsu are the mental improvements that are often overlooked. First, the process of learning a technique requires as much mental activity as it does physical.
